Okay StoneY - put your megaphone down - NOW!
actually - all well said and i agree - current tag void after 7pm, if Paul not able to bring it over, and revert to last tag

come on you guys... where's your sense of adventure... stop bithcing and give BMWST a challenge...
was gona head over to get it with BWMW but dont want to ride the Buell through 2 creeks to get the tag. the DR350 has rego on hold and no indicators and its not geared for the road.
BMWST will get it and should be back by 8 or 9pm...
i have been to this area before and its a short 2km of hard gravel and 2 small streams... the rest of you would be sweet to get it but i have a belt instead of a chain so if i get a stone or sand in my belt its fucked...
i remember you guys all kicking up a stunk about my Avro road tag that i put about 2km down a gravel firebreak when i was using the GN250... but some one still got it...
the rules state if a road bike can get to it its valid. so i say tag is valid till some one gets it.
you guys just wait till winter when i get my DR350 back on the road.... hehehehehehe![]()
im happy with 9pm or thereabouts. i know Paul will get it back and moving tonight.
what happens if BMWST feels like sitting down for a beer and cake at 7pm with some other bikers and rides back but doesnt get home till 9:10pm????
well guess some of my file tags i have ready for a rainy day are voild also then...
have taken about 3 or 4 tag on the GN250 in some remote off road places eg: 2 or 3 km's round red rocks and 1km's down a firebreak out makra beach...
will be deleting those then...
Pretty sure there is, but not sure how many play. Your other one was in winter and people weren't looking at playing such a fast game so there wasn't the problem like today. Its been a nice day for tagging and it has sat out of reach of the majority of players today, as i said the timing is what i feel was wrong.
Well take you're road bike! That's what you're suggesting we do!
Why? if it is so accessable for road bikes, are you prepared to take your off road bike on the back of a trailer, behind a 4x4 rather than taking your road bike to get it. Because you're not prepared to risk your road bike.
Well I'm not prepared to risk my road bike either.
Distance is not the issue here. If it had been dropped at the far side of Gladstone, I would quite happily go get it. What I won't do is risk the bike getting an adventure tag.
What has happened today is there are a number of us on holiday, the sun has been shining and would have been a great day to spend tagging. Instead, the tag has sat all day due to someone who has not been playing the game for quite a long time, being childish and taking the tag to what most of us consider unaccessable on expensive road bikes.
And for the record. Had I still had my CBX250RS which I paid $100 for, I would be quite happy to go get the tag from there. That is the point. I don't mind risking a bike that would cost me the price a mirror if I dropped it. But dropping the GSX would cost me a lot more to repair.
Bars is now open so if it sit's there 5 day's, I don't care. I will NOT be risking my bike to go get it.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker
We came, We listened, And in one voice we answered
BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!!
so even tho you disagree with the consensus here and condone the tag, you wouldn't go fetch it on your buell.
remember that most of us only have one bike , and 95% of those are streeters.
I fell bloody sorry for bm having to go way out there to retrieve it and now with the weather turning will have a shit ride home.
I still think it was a c...t of a place to put a tag and should have been voided straight off.
edit, I was obviously writing when H/E posted so excuse the repetition of thoughts
