Was a beautiful day when i left here.At the last minute i took my leggings and a woolen jersey.Good job i did too it turned cool as soon as i hit the hill.It was cold from then on.When I got to the campsite Eugene wasnt there but Laxi tod me the tag was only 10 minutes away si went to get it,couple of steepish rough bits and a deep sandy stretch.I passed the tag and went a bit further.At a nother stream crossing was a Toyota Caldina Station wagon.They had stopped at the stream where there were large rocks and the entry to the stream was a drop .I was amazed to see the guy cross the stream but he got stuck trying to get up the other side.A lady(chinese i think) asked me "how far to Wainuiomata"?.I said I didnt know how far but they wouldnt make it that car.She says It is shown on the Map..By this time Eugene has arrived.He reiterated they wouldnt make it in that car and a gate would be locked.The guy turned around taking a couple of solid knocks under the car as he did so.So I then put on my jersey and we headed back.The car was stuck again so we pushed them up a rise as the guy avoided the biggest rock and burning rubber as he tried to get up the little rise.
I wnet on my merry way and dot the adv tag.It began raining at Kahutara,and was rather unpleasant all the way to masterton and then home.Until then i enjoyed the ride.I should have posted the file pic i had before i left

I told him we were not impressed.It was windy and cold over there and rained in the last hour too.The rain stopped at the bottom of the hill,and it wasnt quite as cold from then on.Gotta get my heated grips fixed.!

On High St Lower Hutt outside Ballantynes.
Off to get the new now. Tried remote upload from site but the attachment pop-up window is giving me grief again. So I had to go home to claim.

i used that bench to stabilise camera.Looks about as busy when i got mine!

New tag. Took a little while but I didn't want to drop it too close to the last one. Then I needed to fill up and I got stopped 3 times this evening by the boys in blue. They are out in force tonight around Wellington, check points galore.

Fair go Drogen we have got to have tags that can be got by anyone with little risk.Its not fair placing a tag in any situation that every single person in the game cant or wont get.And by risk i mean 1) risk of damage to a road bike(eg groundclearance),or 2) risk of coming of cos of slippery/loose surfaces.

Your avro road tag was dodgy for two reasons.1) it was actually on private property and 2)not on a proper road. It happened to be out of street view too so was not findeable by any reasonable means.When i got it (you virtually told me where it was)I went down a few side tracks(and got stuck once) ,after deciding i would risk the trespass.I suggest in the most diplomatic way possible that if you want to place tags that you are gonna use the DR you place em for the ADV guys.Use the Buell for this game.
