i think its the old tunnel vision thing(excuse the pun) prolly still fixed you r visoion ahead having just come round that corner,its quite narrow and you are prolly looking more to the left (driveways etc) than to the right.

Its where all the prisoners escapeing from the top of the hill come out ( well thats how i got out anyway) .

Strangely enough the first tag I posted was up there by the prison... was picked up (sort of) by Hawkeye.
Same spot thats in the pic on my profile page.

That tunnel in the pic comes out under what is now called the califonia garden center which used to be a tank farm. The other tunnel beside it just cuts straight thru the ridge and comes out behind optoplast about 80m away.

so its part of the old gas main?That tank at the garden centre is part of the old coal gas system.Or maybe its part of a coal delivery system to the tank.

Yeah I was told it was the maintenance tunnel for that set up, but then one day some lazy bugger said "Screw this lets just smack a huge hole thru the ridge and chuck a road thru".
