Just couldn't get back to base quick enough on this one -- well done rwh
But what a lovely afternoon ride it was.
ol richard eh,he has both the welly and NZ tag today
You were quite a bit ahead of me (your pic taken about 4:50 and mine was taken about 6:30). But you are right, I got lost on the Rimutakas and had to keep riding up and down lots of times till I found my way out and back home. Traffic was light, sun-strike was bearable, road was warm and dry and clean. It was worth losing the tag for all the fun I had.
Thanks heaps to cloggy for getting me off the sofa
Not posted till 7ish though.
Yes, a confusing road that - so many bends, you lose your sense of directionBut you are right, I got lost on the Rimutakas and had to keep riding up and down lots of times till I found my way out and back home.
Agreed - me likewise.Traffic was light, sun-strike was bearable, road was warm and dry and clean. It was worth losing the tag for all the fun I had.

Very good
I hadn't even noticed it was a bowling club - I found it several weeks ago, cruising round looking for something interesting to tag, but didn't feel like stopping there at the time, in the dark and with 'loitering youths'.
I would have described it as 'Carpark at Titahi Bay shops', since that's the sign I followed to get there.
Richard
No intel required. I had been there years ago. I couldn't quite place it - but it came to me in the blinding flash of light this morning after the coffee kick-started the grey matter
The funny archways on the shopping centre would have also made an interesting tag
And speaking of arches, this new one is a file pic (taken 3rd Feb mid evening)
I rode between some bollards to get here as the access gate was closed. Access is easy for all normal size bikes, just don't try to squeeze the Gold Wing thru![]()
i just come back from petone station...it was very similar but not right
