I think the trick is to try and have a clue in your pic that can be searched, or failing that , give a written clue as you did.
I find after an hour searching, I tend to wipe it, especially if it is prime riding time.

Visible elements that can be searched for or landmarks that can be located or written 'hints' are all good and the odd harder one is good to. You can't break tag-o-rama we all nuts in here.
