    seeing as you ;'aksed'

Personally, I think it's removed two of the best parts of the track: the "A1 corner" is quick & knee down which is awesome fun, and the only place I can go that quick safely thru' a bend nicely cranked over!
Likewise, the back straight is the only place I can safely wind it back to the stop & open 'er up.

Fast corners & top speed, mixed in with a fun in-field is an ideal track; taking away the 'quicker' parts makes it one big in-field.

Can I suggest an "either/or" approach?
If using the 'flip-flop', leave the back straight intact.
If using the back straight 'bends', leave the A1 turn as is.

Wish I could be there Tues arvo to try it out and perhaps be proven wrong :P

You're a shit stirrer aint ya

Looks good for a laugh though.................only concern is those cones, some numpty with his foot out on a motard( yes I am only kidding, it could even be Quasi ) might kick one up at the rider behind by mistake, or worse it could go under the front wheel while cornering.
Any chance of getting a painted line put down and having the cones well inside that?

Foot would be out the otherside bro, and Motards are far to considerate to do such a thing, we only have love and respect for sportsbike riders

Who's pussying through Turn 2, then?

Hmm, will give it a go should I "end up" at a trackday with this config, but don't think I'll actively go bookin' for it.

Like I said, in it's 'current form' Taupo's got a barrell-of-laughs infield, a quick right-hander & a quick straight. Can't see anything wrong with that.

I guess those criticising those of us who like a combination of twisties and straight line speed would be bored to death at the Isle of Man then, huh? Somehow I don't think so.

Actually this confiration is to try and stop the huge speed difference between say a Motard that tops out at say 160K's and a 1000cc sports bike that hits around the 250k mark at the end of the back straight.

Track 1 is great, i agree. We're trying to limit the high speed differences down the main straight.

Deffinately say it's done that lol
Was that you with the camera on board ? If so ya wanna get off them white lines or they gonna get ya haha saw a couple of front twitches there !

My only concern, is the lead up to a race round at Taupo and i know i have a lot of work to do on the T8 T9 (old config) combination !
I know a motott aint spose to be practice for a race round, but it IS !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

    yeah it was me.

I wasn't running over the white lines, the camera was on top of my helmet so it makes it look that way.

It was very cold and very slippery, and.............
