Why not?! I personally really like it..... especially on a big bike.... but i guess i must like some things you don't like as much hey.
If everybody looked the same, we'd get tired of looking at each other.

Fair enough. If I had the cash I'd have one too. Surely they also realise their top speed deficit will be most evident along a back straight.

I, on the other hand, choose twisty fun and high speed, I spend my wallop of cash on the bestest bike ever made, find a track to have my fun, and it gets turned into a big infield. It seems the quick bikes/riders are being penalised.
Its not just motards. The potential speed difference, at the end of the main straight, between a rider on his or her cbr400 and the rider upon a zx14, in the same group, is high.

Don't worry yourself too much! We'll still be offering the track 1 configuration as well as the new track 5.

Thats not me, i'm on the 89 FZR600 holding everyone up
Matt Bleck is riding the k3, not sure about the gearing. He doesn't normally go that slow.... it was very slippery out there that day.

The entry to the t9 chicane is smooth. The exit of t11 has a nice drop off and bump. The entry to t14 is smooth, slight rise at the start of t15 and a small drop / bump on the apex of t16.

Lets face it, Taupo is quite a slow track on a good day, this doesn't help and i've seen plenty of 600's havin a good go at the 1000's on the back straight..... seeing as it looks as if you're trying to cut out the speed why don't you go the whole hog and put a speed limit on it the track....

Well thats what it feels like... the best part about the track is that it actually has some high speed sections. As a rider I want to experience all of the potential of my bike, meaning 220+ on a straight, hard braking and of course low hard cornering. Taupo has plenty of the latter in fact it could be said to be the best on offer, but very little of the former.
Is there not another method that you can split the capacity inequality? medium group 600+, medium group 599 -, standard group 1 and 4.

I thought the groups were about experiance and not how big your bike is?
