All good mate, was only trying to lighten the mood !
What you need to do is try out manfield on the 20th and 21st, motels or camps are cheap in fielding or there's a shitload be camping at the track !
Back straight that leads into a sweeper ya can do at full noise (well some can hehehe) Aww wait it's the full track in june but still a wicked track to try !
All ya need is a mnz # a club membership and 1 or 2 easy mods to the bike !
Promise ya you'll never look back !

Edit : Maybe not for you if your worried about insurance though !

Think what the guys that gave ya a bit of stick have lost sight of, is the fact they used to guage their own improvements by what top end they got on the back straight ! Believe me you too will stop looking at the speedo once it tops 240 and start thinking lap timers etc (not allowed though aye Alan)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Mate, you're right on the mark there and I am really lookng forward to trying Manfield, just don't currently have the means of getting the bike there...
I certainly would go as far as not going riding cause the track was not how I like it, because any riding is good riding.
Hows the back and Knees comin along??

    Oh OHOHOHHHOOOOHHHH!

    Mine is super sweet!
And you can finance a portion of it...

That track layout looks really cool. I always enjoyed the chicane after turn 8 onto turn two of the old taupo. Coming out of there lets you go through the opening right hander on the gas (onto the 'other' back straight) turns it into a really challenging and technical corner, to my mind more so than A1. The new chicane on the back straight is interesting...lots of walls. Ah well. Agree re a white line being painted, more definite than cones.
