Not sure when Mr Stroud supposedly set this previous record, on the very same machine, as in the last 2 years I can only remember him riding the Taupo long track once, this was a suzuki riders day in Nov when his faster times were high 1.30's with the bike running it's old K7 engine. If there was a national round at Taupo I'd suspect you'd see 29's possibly 28's with the likes of Jones/Bugden/Stroud pushing each other.
I stand corrected then.
I was under the impression he competed at last years RRS after Wanganui at Taupo circuit 1.
My mistake.

ANYHOOO- the point being that on at least this subject Im not going loonie.

Hmm bottle of port I think was the bet![]()
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
That business of rounding times down seems odd to an outsider, but it seems to be the convention in racing, so...
It matters more in drag racing, where a person who's gone down the strip in 8.99 s can call it an "8 second quarter mile". A bit like claiming to have run a 4 minute mile when your time is 4:59.
