Hello! I actually found Kiwi Biker when I discovered my wife had lied to me about 'incidentally' bumping into another rider and accompanying them on a ride from Whakatane to Rotorua (she gave me an elaborate story about how she'd pulled into a rest area where he'd broken down and just got chatting to the guy and decided to follow him as he happened to be going the same route), when in actual fact she'd joined KB and organised the whole thing beforehand and for whatever reason chose not to tell me of her intentions (which is completely beyond me because I wholeheartedly encourage her to organise rides with experienced riders, and above all, to be honest!). You can imagine the concern when you discover your wife who's been riding all of a month, is secretly organising rides with people with names like 'DANGEROUS BASTARD' (to my relief, DANGERBASTARD actually seems to be the opposite of his namesake, infact, possibly one of the most sensible people on KB!). ANYWAY, when you get lemons...
KB is awesome! I joined less than a week ago and already have used advice to improve my riding, sold some parts off our old bike (with infinate less hassle than Trademe... those fuckers), and all-in-all discovered that there is a HUGE fraternity of like-minded people out there with whom I look foward to sharing the road with.

What the farrrk!!! Hello bro! Your mrs was perfectly well behaved, and my 15 y/o daughter was with me, so yeah. Until we got moving on our bikes that is.. she's either no learner at all, or she's a natural on a bike.

She told me your daughter was in her 20's. I'd be happy to hear the full story sometime, as I've obviously not been told any of it in truth. I don't feel at all threatened by the fact she rode with YOU (after having read your profile and many of your posts), but it doesn't take a genius to realise that you weren't the only person she was making plans with, without any intention of letting me know about it... I don't for a second think I have any right to control who she does or doesn't ride with, but I do think I deserve not to be lied to about it. Don't you? Anyway, cheers for the welcome. I'm following the progress with your 650 closely by the way. I'm almost as keen on the mechanical side of bikes as riding them. I rebuilt our first piece of shit GPX250 from the frame up last year, and had alot of fun doing it!
