At least the chicks in lingerie option could be mildly more exciting than watching the same five teams play each other week in and week out with the only chance of anything really interesting happening being in the semi finals. While a three-conference competition may keep broadcasters happy, I predict the viewers will find something else to watch quite quickly. Rugby is already losing audience share in New Zealand. I can't see this new product helping that.

It's a bit like the annual tri-nations rugby. I get bored shitless watching the ABs playing Australia and South Africa. I presume NZ currently holds this "trophy", but who really gives a fuck?
