Seriously guys, if ya need a crash pad in ChCh before ya leave, let me know, it would be funny to drink with a couple of suicidal megolamaniacs

    What date do you arrive?
On the first of July we'll be hitting Christchurch harder than Veitch and his wife.

We have spare beds and safe garaging.
PM me or Mstrs to confirm
Ideally we'll be in Napier the night of the 2nd.

However we run on what is called "SMC time".

Incidentally, if anyone knows someone selling a ghetto blaster, I'm looking to buy one for this trip.

Thrift shop, resistors and wires to the battery on one of those cassette players!

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

    Impressive!

I see that you already have a HB offer. But I be happy to be the "Plan B in Hawke's Bay". No plans of going anywhere and heaps of space. Add to that tools and a garage of bits (that my g/f has no understanding for and often misguidedly refers to as junk that should be put on a trailer and taken to the dump!) that can get most bikes functional again after a holocaust.

Impressive (Did I already say that?)

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Have stayed at Brain's Place Backpackers at Tokomaru Bay (about 90km north of Gisborne) and can recommend it - saves trying to carry the tent.

just the two of us but 3 hours is likely to take us four, so that'll be a bit of a push.

currently couriering a tent to napier is the plan

Have a great trip - I've done the East Cape - beautiful bike riding roads and nice scenery - hope you have a decent petrol tank - you'll need it the higher up the cape you get.
