Kudos to Billy, Sketchy and Skunk

Just want to publicly acknowledge the huge work that Billy, Sketchy Racer and Skunk put in to get the VMCC Streetstock 150 bikes sorted for Round 1 of the Actrix Winter Series. My apology if there is anyone else I have missed. The junior scholarships wouldn't have been possible without the MANY MANY hours these guys put in. We had some teething problems on the day but things could have been much worse and will only get better.
Your blood is worth bottling guys and thanks so much for the work.

Billy did an outstanding job on the RG, and Sketchy did a great job with what we had on the KR. The throttle on the KR was all my work (that'll be why it broke!). Thanks to Billy and Wannabiker for fixing it on the day.
We're planning on doing a bit more to fix the KR up, but it's already way better than it was.

That RG is outstanding.

Thanks for the opportunity too get the bike prepared as it should be for a scholarship,Its been a bit of a mission and without the help of Gary Pendleton at Dynotech Tauranga it would have been a disaster on the day,He kindly offered to let us run the bike in on his Dyno on the friday afternoon and then we were to jet it as well.Got there and ran it in OK but when we went too do a run on it we discovered the powervalve servo was knackered and they werent opening,So while he operated the bike I operated the powervalves manually with a Tbar then just as we were getting it sorted it blew a headgasket owing too the fact the previous owner had modified the cylinder and the 2 headbolts at the front ran out of thread before the head was tightened down,Meaning our torque settings meant nothing.Got it back home around 5pm Friday night,ripped it too bits again fixed the offending head studs,Fitted the new powervalve servo put the bike back together and off to bed just after 1am.Up again at 5am and off to Taupo(around about this stage I realise Im Wayyyy to old for this shit)hoping to get some sleep once the bike was circulating,However this turned out to not happen til the last race due to the bike not wanting to run over 8000rpm which turned out too be due to it being way too rich.Anyway its sorted now and hopefully Sam will get a decent run at round 2.Have enclosed a piccie for those that didnt see it on the day.Cheers Billy

Awesome work guys, It is looking bloody fantastic!

Hehe they are both teaching the riders more than riding too,
Lesson one: Race bikes somtimes require all nighters to have ready in time and can go wrong mechanically at the last minute!
