Ryan's day at the first round of the 09 Actrix Series

Going by how the first round went this should be a successful series for me especially knowing I finally have a competitive and reliable bike to race.

I was shocked to here that track repairs that were done a while back hadn’t been fixed, but at least I knew from the last round of the pacific club summer series where they were and how slippery they were, and they weren’t too hard to avoid.

I got quite nervous just before qualifying because I really wanted to do well and it wasn’t made any easier when we were called back into the pits off the dummy grid when it was declared a wet meeting. It just gave me more time to thing about the WHAT IF’S. I wasn’t really thinking much about what place I was going to qualify this time because I had a few minor performance problems and I wanted to be able to fix it before the first race. I still qualified 9th.

Dad changed the jetting which made a huge difference in the first race. The grid was a joke though because they hadn’t marked it out , so it seemed like everyone just lined up where there was a gap. I tried to get in the right place but I think now I was a row back. I was impressed at how well Gareth Pywell went considering it was his first time racing the bike he was on and I think I have a lot of catching up to do to beat him and Malcolm Nabbs. I had one ‘near off’ in the first race in the chicane coming off the big straight when the front wheel slipped on one of the painted grid lines and my left peg hit the ground but the bike didn’t get too loose so I managed to save it and come 6th place. In the second race it felt like there were more bikes, they seemed to be ever where, it was pretty cool because there was lots of passing to be done. After a couple of laps Gareth got past me, I managed to stay with him for a while but then he just took off and left me to finish 3rd place.
I really like the 150 street stock class because although the bikes arnt as fastas the other classes the compedativness is still there.

I must thank Bay cad services, burrel signes, Billy and scrivy. with out you guys i wouldnt have been competing in this series. I really apreciate your help.

Well done ryan!

Your RG was definetely one of the best presented RG's i have seen in a while! (Yellow is my favourite colour so that might be a bit bias).
Looking forward to seeing you improve during the season.

Good to see you out there doing it, was especially happy to see you get 3rd and walk up at prize giving.

Too Right! Gareth was doing incredibly well for his first race, you may have noticed he had the fastest lap time for a 150...

Sounds like you had a good race!
It's always fun to mix it up a bit.
Keep it up, It's all in the practice, get enough and you will be carving us up in no time!

Good on you mate,Sorry didnt get a chance too catch up with you on the day,But we had a few issues with the club scholarship bike and I didnt get too see any racing at all.Keep up the good work and I will see you at Manfeild
