I'm in. Horray I finally get a chance to crash fraggle's bike!

I made a vow a while back to never ever do this again... But I admit to being tempted by the idea....
I don't think ancient Guzzi's belong on da track with modern bikes... besides, I need it in one piece for our October trip down south.
Well, thats my excuse, whats wrong with the rest of you...

We had a very early 80's GB400 at Ruapuna.Originally Posted by Paul in NZ

Yes... But you don't offer much detail on the outcome of that. I just don't feel like being a comedy section of your magazine article...Originally Posted by pommie-chris

He got quicker throughout the day after some tuition from Billy Byber, was probably the most improved rider on the day. If you read my report from Ruapuna, nowhere did anyone have the piss taken out of them, apart from Todd our Bikemart man!!! I can tell you that not one person at KR would think you were a comedy act, quite the opposite in fact. If you want to come along, we would love to see the bike out there. Hopefully most of the 1000's will be in expert and intermediates classes.Originally Posted by Paul in NZ

Sorry - Involuntary reaction from previous track days.... I still have nightmares about the differences in braking and speed between my old bus and the latest tackle... Scary!
I'll check the calander!

Ok, no worries. But if you do ever want to come to one of our days, we would be more than happy to get you out on track.Originally Posted by Paul in NZ
We currently have a fair amount of modern bikes to play with and talk about at work, but, the current topic of conversation for the last hour or so has been an RD350 (the GSXR750 hasn't had a look in) which is sat on a ute in the car park!! At 8.00am, the neighbours were woken to the sound of a beautifully muffled 2 stroke being revved to within an inch of its life!

I loved those things.... Never see them much these days but I honestly think those RD's did more to change peoples perception of performance than any other bike sold in NZ including the GSXR.Originally Posted by pommie-chris

Track days are fun but I still don't think most people want to be bothered by fat old blokes on old ugly bikes... Not the place or time for it... Still, I have been, 'slowing down' lately so a few lessons would be a nifty idea. If I suddenly get wealthy I will get Vicki to buy me an entry for my birthday!
Cheers
I'm booked in for 16 July. Cya's there.

What time should we turn up at Manfield?
Cheers,
What kind of licences do you need for the trackday? Do you need a road licence, as ive got a Honda RS125 race bike but no road licence.
