    Employment opportunities in IT?

    Hey Everyone

I am currently looking for a new position in the IT sector, as I was made redundant from my last position as a Network Technician. I have my A+, Network+, and two MCPs, and currently working towards an MCSA.

I am looking for anything in the realms of a Helpdesk Position or Field Technician/Network Technician role, preferably fulltime permanent, however I am open to contract work aswell.

If anyone knows of any positions available or comming up soon, if you could PM me or email me at ESM.King@Gmail.com that would be greatly appreciated. Currently I have been going through and applying for jobs through Trademe Jobs, and Seek, and have also signed up at two IT recruitment agencies.

    Regards

    Eugene King

An awful lot of competition around at the moment for not many roles... (same as every other industry I guess!!!).

A mate of mine has just moved over from the UK, about 8 years experience, 3rd Line support, Implimentation etc etc, and has ended up taking a Help Desk role just to get some cash in...

If you can get something, the grab it.... time will come good, and even more so in IT....

If you have any chance, I would strongly recommend heading down the virtualisation route, as there are so many companies looking at consolidation at the moment to save costs !!!

    Good luck mate !
