Are you all planning to meet at the same place? (Kingsgate) I would love to come but will have to see how far I get with moving house, but I have a friend who is keen to get his ViFfeR out and meet some new riders so would be cool if I could tell him where to find ya'll.

Yeh lets meet at Kingsgate - I dunno 10 or 10:30 - perhaps see who turns up and how long people wanna ride; we can decide destination then...
Rusty, get stuck in Saturday with the moving, then you should be okay Sunday eh?

If you wanna ride through the gorge go the back way. You go through a little town starting with 'M' on the west coast and the roads are awesome. You pop out just after the long straight before the service station in Awakino. It's a big ride though, about 350km round trip and takes 4 hours easy. Oh yeah, and there's that 10+ km gravel road

Why don't you head to Gizzy? I've been meaning to do that ride for ages.

Not sure my wee commuter machine would be up to it.

hahaha touche. The scorpio will be sweet for a mammoth ride. You can't let it boss you around like that. Show it who's boss

Spazm found out my bike is currently "in transit" somewhere. I like said "yeah probably on a lorry in the UK!" I'd cry if I had to wait another 3 months.

So what big bike you thinking of anyway?

Very, very keen on a black (of course) Bonneville SE.
The Mrs says I have been a good boy so I can have a new one!
Plus it'll stop me dragging her to Hamilton Motorcycles every 2nd Saturday to sit on the floor model and make brmmm brmmm brmmm noises!
    Triumph all the way mate!

Shall we have a bet on whose bike arives first?

Wow a bonny. I wouldn't have thought you'd be a Bonny guy. I love the cafe racer look so I would be a modded Thruxton is I was to get a Bonny based bike. This would be of course after I had a Stripple in the garage as well

And no, I'm not making a bet. I'd loose!! hahaha I'm picking it'll be here by the end of next week. I can feel it.

yeah they don't have many bends in America and I spent all my time riding farm bikes over there, real weird getting back onto a sports bike after riding dirt bikes for so long. left the group and went for a little spin through te pahu instead of kawhia (I got lost haha)

seems my riding has changed a bit over the months...not sure if it's better or worse yet but I seem to be riding a bit faster...and the bike rides like I was never gone.

one thing i'm trying to confirm...has ACC levies increased rego payments already or do they go up in July (have I still got time)

Great ride today, you didnt tell us where you were getting petrol mate so it made it quite hard for us to find you.
