Au contraire, the bonny fits me exactly:
    - the bonny has a classic look - I'm past my prime
    - the bonny has a relaxed riding position - I don't have the energy I used to
    - the bonny looks cool - I ... um, well yeah, try to look cool in a classic, mature sort of way

I plan to add a speed triple to the garage later on - when I feel up to managing such an awesome beast.

Yeh, we couldn't figure where you went for gas; sorry to lose ya - next time eh?

5 bikes headed out to Kawhia today.
I plodded on a fair way behind everyone else - quite hard work for me and the scorpio on those windy, hilly and sometimes rutted roads. I just played it safe and tried to enjoy meself.

Cheers to Jonathan for hanging back with me on the return journey.
I assume the other 3 made it back a.o.k?

    From this website http://www.beehive.govt.nz/release/g...acc+levy+rates

So you'll have to get in before July 1.

Yep we do but not many, if any, bring their bikes. Usually about 10-15 or more coming and going from 5-5.30ish onwards

Someone has a black and orange? I wanted one of them. Cool looking bikes.

I would have joined you lot like I was expecting to but still no wheels. Good to see more 250's out though.

I'll definitely bring Sonic II down when the bloody thing arrives so all you guys can point and laugh at me saying "you waited 6 months for that?" and "you should have got a black one".

Only the hard core ride down (wearing their mittens and cardigans ). Maybe you need a banner so new people can find ya haha. Actually, how do people find you down at the pub if there isn't bike gear lying around?

Good call, when I went down 2 weeks ago it was only cause I was in full kit that some kind soul came and asked if I was looking for LOR, otherwise with no other bikes there it makes it pretty hard to find anybody.

Want to come back on Wens nights but am at wintec from 5pm same nights for the next few months so looking forward to getting down there after that.

You look for the table with the most hamburger meal deals on it. generally at table to left in front of where the large screen comes down (look for the projector on the ceiling). There's also a row of low tables for diners (I think they are the only low tables in the bar). We will be around that area,

    Blah

Yeah was a very good ride. Everyone just shot along at their own pace, had a truely aweful lunch then rolled on home home.
Good to ride with a majority of 250's as well, made a nice change.

Haha, your Blackbird does sound awesome though Just pining for a few more ponies so I don't have to get stuck behind cruisers
    Any rides planned this Sunday?

With any luck I'll be able to head down this weekend and screw your majority up. Can't let you 250's think you can run the show You wait, when us Trumpy's come down we come down en masse!

It's much easier to take the ribbings when you have someone to comfort you.

Do you mean a decent amount of people or long rides? I like the decent amount of people most of the times then smaller groups every so often.

I'm out for the weekend, have to work. There is a calendar entry up for the north, south, east, west run on Sunday which should be fun and run by Ulysses. For those newer to the group we do tend to ride a bit with the ulysses group from time to time and Jim (STjim) comes down on Wednesdays about 6.30ish and is a good man to have a chat with.

Note: sorrelboy has registered for the event
Note to Self: Remind sorrelboy on Wednesday night that the Sunday run meets at 9.30 am
