I wasn't gonna ride but just turn up for a feed with y'all, but doesn't seem like a good plan with that many people. Kitchen will be busy as hell.
I with you Ckai, might make it next weekend then! The down side to a long weekend eh.

Yeah, and we can get those t-shirts that say:
    "Get on
    Sit down
    Shut up
    Hang on!"

Yeah, Amanda would love it if I got her one of those t-shirts

Soooo.... what's the verdict on today? It's definitely grey and drizzly but hardly seems to be the meteorological doomsday that the soothsayers were predicting.

For me, doing some work inside and then a wee bit of furniture shopping this afternoon.
The good news will make a start on getting the SF1 back together for Labour weekend.

Ride yesterday was awesome - 4 of us went
A bit slippery thru Waitomo to Te Anga - but after that it was lovely, around the harbour, fish & chips in Kawhia, then back some back roads
No cops, sun, not a lot of traffic, and dry roads

Was that a LOR group I saw heading into Whatawhata yesterday? Looked like Trina at the front with a few familiar faces in behind, looking ever so good...
I went anti-social on it and hit Raglan by my louf, was a great little blat got to have a bit of fun over the Divy with a gorgeous HSV. Guy learnt what traffic was about eventually, as I was sitting down having a coffee by the time he rolled on in to Ragtown
Thats one sexy little Bonnie mate, you looking to sell the Scorpio of power? Looking for a learner bike for my lil bro.

    RIDING IN THE RAIN

Given that it didn't look like I'd get any riding done this weekend, I decided early this morning to go out in the crappiest weather we'd had so far. Which I did.
Once you can overcome the inertia of getting into all the gear and then putting wets on over the top of all that, rain riding is pretty cool. Especially as it was this morning with the wind blowing like buggery as well...

Didn't go far - Te Awamutu, Pirongia, return. But it blew out the cobwebs and I felt a lot better about the world afterwards.

Oh and the new set of rainbirds did the job supremely well...

We went down to New Plymouth on Saturday with Ulysses. Cameback today Total of 10 bikes. stayed at Backpckers in centre of town
No riding on Sunday movies and ten pin bowling instead. Weather was reasonable to come home today even had some dry road.
Took in a bit easy on the throttle. Saw 3 cops on the way home
