Just letting you all know that the big Boyds sale is on the 24, 25 and 26th of June, they always have some great specials

Cool, I've had heaps of people asking me when it is. I said it was either at the end of this month or sometime next. Hopefully they have to good lids because I know 3 people that need them...then I can get them down to ride. Muppets don't know how to look after their kit, like running over helmets with utes!

Hey, bit of a query - was gonna whack an immobiliser alarm on it but a dude at work reckons it's not worth the cost and leads to flat battery probs, any of youse got an opinion/advice about this?

They can drain your battery, especially if they aren't put in properly. Trumpy electronics aren't that good to start with either (doesn't matter if they're new or old). You can get good alarms they don't drain it, but they're pretty heavy with the back-up power. You wanna check how much of a discount you'll get from the insurance company to see how long it'll take to pay back.

Personally, just an immobiliser may not cut it and I would only go for for an alarm with tilt and proximately thingie as well. But I really haven't seen the need for it so far. I always park the bike where heaps of people can see it.

And people respect Triumphs more

Weyhey Dazz - that is so friggin exciting!! I cant wait to spot you rocking round town on that mean machine. I bought a new air-filter today and 4 litres of Motul... but somehow it's not quite as exciting. I think I may have left some drool on that yellow SV at Boyd's though (maybe Wysper's old machine?).

Unfortunately I doubt I could afford Quasi prices. I have the Road Suit but that isn't the best for adventure riding

Oh yes, I did have a looky at that one too, but it's almost $3000 more, and seeing as how I can't even afford the yellow peril I had to avert my eyes from a bike so far out of my league. sigh.

Actually Boyds didn't put that much on top of what they paid me for mine...AND they stuck a new tyre on it...
