well you guys manage to make my first ride of the new year seem a bit short, good to see were all making the most out of the sunshine and free time though.

Yesterday I managed a nice ride through Taumarunui - forgotten highway to Whangamomona for lunch - New Plymouth for catch up with some old mates and back to Hams today.

First decent ride in ages and if it wasnt for work i'd be up for another tomorow!!

It certainly looks more km on a map than what kms where covered on the day, although there wasn't much differance between actual kms & what Motowhere said it would be, from TA to Bayview was @ 450km so by the time I took a lunch break in Havelock north half the run was already completed & it was only midday !!!

Has anyone done the Gentle Annie lately ?? ( Taihape to Napier ) looking at doing that in March
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

I did a similar loop on Saturday but went through to SH43 via Okau rd then Stratford, Bellblock then SH3 home, glad to see they have finished sealing the road from Mt Dampner through to Tahora, but there was still a 8km section of gravel to contend with but nothing major to worrying about... 500km round trip

Come on Guys and Girls - need you to register in the calendar if you coming for the ride on Sundy so I have an idea on numbers for brekkie. So far 5 registered plus partners makes about approx 9 with 7 or 8 bikes!!

    Saturday 15 Fine. Northerlies.
Sunday 16 Dry. Not much wind.

Check the calendar section 16th of Jan for further details

let me know what its like Warren, my understanding is that the Taihape side is already sealed to the district boundery half way through & there was only @ 6 - 8km on the Napier side left to go

Well I just hope Sonic II will be ready. I got for a ride with Spazm in the weekend and he bloody breaks it! He noticed it was smelling with a bit of oil smoke coming from the engine.

Took it in today and I still haven't heard anything. If it's not ready by the weekend it'll be a serious issue which I highly doubt. If pigs fly and that happens I'll just have to sweet talk a loan Stripple for the ride

Bloody Triumphs. They obviously thought they wanted to go back to the old school ways of 'the black patch' when parked.

At least it's still under warranty.

Why? I think this is the first problem I've had. Well apart from it being stupidly delayed. Then again, my memory isn't that good anymore. It happens when you hit 30 apparently.

You coming on Sunday? Your tractor will be right at home along those country roads

I phrased that badly - you have been having bad luck in making it on rides
