Currently waiting for Honda to provide me with their best option, that could be bigger pistons and sleaves or a 2nd hand engine, I am yet to find out.
EDIT: 1:44 pm - Just spoke to the great team at Honda, 3 options availbale to me,
1. New cylinder block ($2800ish)
2. 2nd hand engine ($1800ish)
3. Re Sleave exiisting cylinder block ($ unknown)
So seriously looking option 2, I'm waiting to hear more.
I assume they have tried econohonda over in te aroha. I went there once and they have truckloads of honda parts. something for everything!!

Holy crap mikemike, still no bike? Tell Honda to pull their fingers out, the riding season is drawing to a close......
Source of 2nd hand engine is Bike Breakers in Ngaruawahia I think, coming out of a ZZR. The idea may be for the new motor to get the new Cam chain & tensioner from my existing motor plus I'm hoping to be able to get them to do base and head gaskets as well for my piece of mind if it all works out this way as intended.
I was beginning to wonder what was happening, but its a seriously big job (to keep it affordable for me), Kawasaki NZ didn't even help a little bit by telling the repairer the parts were available then advising that said parts didn't exist, so it'll be just like last year, I got the bike in March 2010 (the 20th from memory).
So fuck it, I love riding in the rain !
You'll have to take it to the track to celebrate![]()
Okoroire run this weekend - all should try and make it. Its in the calendar.
Charity ride along Auckland Motorway was good and the BBBBQ afterwards was also entertaining.
One of the Westpac helicoptor's was due to land at the aftermatch of the Charity run but due to all their helicoptors being required they could only have one do a quick flyover and a nod to the crowd and off again. Obviously a very much needed operation and well worthwhile charity to support. Pity more of us couldnt have made it on the day.

Mike, dont take Honda Ham's word for too much. Get on the internet and chase the aussie dealers and wreakers yourself. I did and found all the bits I needed for two bikes, (HH) said were unavalible anywhere.
For $2800ish you can buy a complete road going bike that will last a while. Might be time to cut your losses with this Kwaka. Even with the $1800 option, if labour is added works out quite dear.

I'll most likely be there, but will make my own way out with a couple of mates.
