I'll be at the hotel about 1.15pm. If the weather looks like crap, I'll post my non-appearance on here about 12.00 so any one else knows what I'm doing. Will still be at Jim's tho' regardless of the weather.

Many thanks Jim. We had a neat time. Pass on our appreciation to Heather. You both did a wonderful job.

Here is a link to 2 short clips taken from our ride on Sunday. I tried to load a 30sec clip straight onto KB but got told 10mb was too big to load up. Doesn't show much of the group but it's a bit hard when bikes are spread out.

I'm in Te A. I ride around the sth Waikato, Waipa roads a lot. Usually afternoons when I go out. Best way to find the good roads is to just get on the bike and go. Wharepapa sth, Mahihi districts all have good roads.

    twilight rides in hamtown

i ride around after t around 7pm once or twice during the week to clear my head after the day @ the office - i do loops like dinsdale, forest lake, terapa, avalon. It also helps up my practice before going for 6R next year. Im not yet ready for the out of town rides yet.

Would you be comfortable to do Raglan or backways Whatawhata or Ngaruawahia at legal highway speeds?
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

I was about to suggest that. Had the girlfriend riding out of town as soon as possible and she was fine. Get someone to ride behind you and you will be fine.

    Boyds Hamilton Sale

Some ok deals - got a retro leather jacket ($200 from $460) to see if it made a difference to the riding as I'd lost a bit of confidence when being hit by wind gusts - and it made a big difference. I previously was using my wifes ski jacket due to it being waterproof, but it seems it acted like a paracute with the wind going up the sleves.

Ski jackets are rubbish for anything other than the snow. Like you found, they blow up like balloons. Wifey used to wear one when she rode pregnant cause she couldn't fit her bike jacket. She said it was crap coming along the ridge past Ohaupo.

I didn't even know Boyds had a sale. Do you know when it runs too? I know Brooke is looking for some jeans.
