Thought I might take a cruise this arvo - 39 to Otorohanga and back round Pokuru.

If anyone's interested be at Caltex Dinsdale 'round midday.

All the 1100's went on the first day! When I saw you this mourning I was waiting for them to give me a price on a "non-clearance" 1100. The cheapest they could do was $700 so Brooke's a little disappointed. Stick but oh well, she just has a year to save

haha the old man didn't resist. Mum got some gear but Dad went big and spent $600 so some impressive textiles even though he already has gear! Light years better than his old stuff so he's happy.

Well, I can reassure you that the ride was damn fine - albeit a little cool at times. Oh and apart from when the line of cars I was barrelling up behind suddenly stopped...seems there was a truck broken down on the top of the hill right on the corner and traffic was down to one lane. Just as well these bikes have good brakes.

Ah well, best I save up for more gas.

Thought I saw you with an HJC Box?

Turns out it was my visor that was wrong as the pinlock holes were in the wrong place so the insert wouldn't fit properly. Stole one of the visors off another helmet there. Still not convinced the insert is sealing against the visor though. Will have to test it tomorrow.

That was mum's. We're too upmarket for HJC now

When I put the old man's one on I wasn't sure it was sealed properly either. Got him to put it on, stuffed a towel around the bottom and told him to breath like a dirty old man on viagra. Didn't fog so sorted.

You looked at turning the pins around? Tighten it up a bit?

Was the visor not on the helmet though? Seems weird that it was wrong.

I am wrapped that we have a Super 15 final in Hamilton. Unfortunately that result means that Heather and I will now be helping out at the Stadium on Saturday night instead of dinning out with all you good people. The Rotary club that I belong to has contract with Montana catering to run Hospitality Tents a the Stadium. We will be very busy serving up very expensive beer to all the thirsty punters. Enjoy Saturday night.

We will see if we can move the time for dining forward a little due to the final being on. perhaps if we meet 6.00ish at the Cook and then head over as soon as most have arrived. Means we may get out and across to the Eastside to watch the 2nd half (for those that want to???).

Do we have an idea of what time you want to get to the restaurant if we're going straight there? More for a backup plan then anything. Best be prepared though.
