I have been off work with a chest infection and ongoing asthma. Went out this morning sunny but a bitterly cold wind. If the weather is okay I will try and make it to the ride tomorrow.

I will ride through to Oko from Hamilton, have a chat then carry on. I'm going to continue onto Litchfield, Wiltsdown, Waotu, Maungatautari roads.

We had a good ride today, five of us left Hamilton and meandered down through the Scotman Valley/Walton roads to Matamata, out to Te Poi and rolled up the the Okororie pub. About 20 bikes were parked up and we caught up with other riders from the l.O.R group.
I was pleased to meet caseye for the first time. Always nice to put a face to a name.

From here, I went my own way back through Putaruru, Arapuni while the rest were still deliberating the way home as I left. Hope everyone got back okay.

    Arriving,

    Leaving,
"I want to go in front"

"You went in front last time. I'm going first"

"I dont care, my bike's bigger than yours"

"Well, you can get ya own bloody tea tonight then"

    A good ride today.

Arthur, trust the ride helped the chest infection, a great day for a ride.

Can't say quite the same for us with the weather - was showery on and off, a couple quite heavy, then cleared for a while... but still enjoyed the day in Wuppertal riding the schewebahn... and trying German sausage rolls...

Great catching up with awa finally, also and of course meeting up with the usual suspects from the LOR at Oko!
Slipped out of Dorkland at about 10.30am'ish and arrived moments after the LOR guys from the Tron just after 12 O'clock.
    Noice bike there Nigel.
Always a pleasure arriving at Oko, been my home pub for the best part of thirty years.
Weather was a bit overcast and cool heading down, but on the way home, the only cold bit was as usual going up the West side of the Waikato through Ngaruawahia and Huntly under the hills in the shade and right next ot the biggest outdoor fridge ( The Mighty Waikato River)
Not too many fools out there today, had a great weekend of riding as we both headed down to Raglan on Saturday, the $20 buck pizza from the Raglan Pub was Owesome! Road was clear and traffic light, cept for of COURSE the bloody van with a horse float on the back, right through the up hill windy bits, not once did they make use of the shoulder to let the 3 thousand cars behind them through, mongrels.

Brilliant bike for the west coast roads. I looked hard at the 150 Honda and the Kawasaki 150 dual purpose bikes earlier this year, then decided to go with the 250 cruiser for now. The Honda shop here in Te A have (or did have) a container load of the adventure cross tread tyres to fit the 150 Honda. The Honda was $4,000+orc. The Kwaka was 5G plus costs.

Tomorrow, I am going to ride some of the side roads between the Raglan rd and the upper harbour.

Yeah the guys down at Hamilton Honda where brought the bike offered me a few sets for nothing, apparently they come in with the tires but are often sold as farm bikes so they take them off and have them sitting around.

Got this bike for $4070 with ORC good deal from Honda Hamilton

Sadly I can only ride Mondays during the day

Got out today. Weather was not the sunniest, but still a good run. Just posted a few words and photos under the Waikato Rides thread.

No, Long road is a short road which runs between Ngaroma rd and Bayley road. About 5k, need grading badly.
