The Tuakau - Raglan road is no longer a State Highway. So it isn't maintained to even the very minimal standard of secondary state highways.

It is due for some safety improvements along the same lines as the south Coro loop.

Is that just your impression, or are improvements actually going to be done? Would be nice to have all those sunken/dropped corners rebuilt.

I read something on line recently, I'll see if I can find it again and post a link.

It's one of my favorite rides, but parts of it are really not fun anymore.

After a prolonged period of ill health, I finally got out on the bike today. About time. Certainly improves the outlook on life.

Should've posted something here, we could have shown no sympathy at all. Glad to see know you are up and running again.

Managed to get out today for a quick ride.
Ngaruawahia -> Waingaro -> Raglan and then back to Hamilton to watch the new MotoGP round.

This season has been amazing so far!

Has it what! Bloody insane racing. Thank god for dodgy downloads that get uploaded quick otherwise I'd miss everything. I have to avoid all the news that pops up onto my feeds until I can get my hands on the race. The last 2 races have been pretty impressive. I'm not a fan of Pedrosa but his last 2 efforts have warranted a nod.

Unlikely I'd say, there's a fair few corners on that road!

I hope your mate was OK.
