Found the same thing about Huntly and Drury every bloody Sunday afternoon, it's a weekend for God's sake where are all the bloody heathens going. River road gets rid of Huntly and getting off at Drury and going out back of Ardmore gets past Drury, shouldn't bloody have to but hey we live in this great big city, comes with the territory.
Started off splitting the traffic, but the Waikato highway patrol boys don't like that so took to the back roads.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

I expected to come back much later from original trip plan.
took the new expressway from karapio to Hamilton, quick but a little boring, get the usual Hamilton crap-I try to avoid that too but wanted to see in the daylight what I often go past at night.
    didnt expect huntly,people can't merge
accident on drury over bridge caused the second snarl up

otherwise traffic was better than normal

someone tell the heathens to go north

at least with AWAs tutorial on cornering mine has improved from last time if only a little.

i will add the group rode well, and I especially liked the way we looked out for each other, keeping visual on the one in front/behind till they sorted any issue.

I didn't dare open the thing in case a red bat phone went off in a reinforced bunker somewhere in Wellington and the armed forces descended from nowhere.
Maybe someone can explain WTF it is doing there.
    Material Safety Data Sheets

you have come across the Assembly point in the event of a emergency evacuation of somebodies farm, the MSDS info is for emergency personal so they can evaluate what/where the dangerous goods are onsite before sending their troops in

Thank you for that. I didn't really think it was in case of an atomic fall out.

Seems odd that I haven't seen (or noticed) this anywhere else.

If anyone is at a loose end Sunday (For those not doing the Toy Run)

The FBMC are heading off around the loop as a farewell to the summer ride. Should be a good trundle, no records will be broken speed wise

Meet at Caltex Bombay 9.30am for a 9.45am Roll, then 10.45am meet for Waikato riders at Mobil opposite Kopu Rd just Past the roundabout after Kopu bridge on the right heading towards Thames.

11am roll to Coroglen Tavern for lunch.

Anyone wanting a short ride can head back home from here.

Otherwise its on to Whitianga, then up an over the hill to Coromandel township for a cold one at the top pub, then down the coast rd to Thames, and away home

Looks like the weather will be good. I haven't done the northern loop since last winter, tempting.

Methinks a ride to Raglan tonight might be in order. I'll cruise off about 7.30. I might catch the sunset over the harbour from the Tehutewai road above the township.

Missed the sunset but had a good ride anyway. Definitely getting cooler at nights after dark.

Do like the photo - just enough light for the foreground to be interesting but the eye is still drawn to the just set sun...

    Cheers
