I do exactly the same. Hated downhills. It's the same as weight bias in a car. When you have a 60/40 split front to rear a car will understeer. Go downhill - weight on front, add body lean forward because of the hill - massive bias on the front wheel.

I started griping super hard with my legs coming into downhill turns and almost taking all pressure off my hands - pretty much hovering them over top. I'm doing it on the corners on the flat too since I'm shocking at having way too much weight pushing down on the bars.

But you may have a different problem hahah

400kms would have been good for my rear tyre. I think it would only have 500-1000k left in it. Looked like a good ride apart from the Dorkland shit

Good long ride, we came back through spaghetti junction way and had a busy wee cruise down the motorway. Trina only missed the first 1/4 of the netball so it wasnt to bad. Old kauri road bah humbag. started thinking this is not to bad maybe its one way road until a big yellow vehicle came round the corner!!!! They should make it one way then it would be a lots more fun.

Sounds like a road just north of Wellington I had to take in my younger years because SH1 was closed. Trucks banned because it was so narrow and twisty. I thought it was one way until an SUV came the other way. I had to pull into a drive way for them too pass!!!

Ripped the exhaust off my mighty Gemini when I ran over a rock (which I thought the car was high enough to clear ) Sounded bloody mean after that ah them were the days...

Na screw that, give it assholes haha

And a more appropriate note, drove over some o-4-awesome roads last night heading to a mates place. He's smack dab in the middle of 2-wheel heaven. Just around Mataa Mataa. One of the roads (Henry Watson road) is like a bloody roller-coaster. Straight for k's but goes up and down like Leyton on his bike

    mmm bike love

Quiet night at the Tavern last night. I guess the weather kept a lot away as it was unusually quiet for a Wednesday night. About 10 LOR attending.

    Upcoming forecast
Sat 26 Showers clearing becoming confined to near the west coast, and becoming fine inland. Southwesterlies developing.
Sun 27 Fine and cloudy periods. Southwesterlies dying out and northerlies developing

No ride planned for Sunday. Anyone interested in a pootle turn up on the Sunday at Kingsgate Hotel Car Park for 10.00 amish departure. Trina and I will be unable to ride as working to after lunch time.

    (FROM Tag-O-Rama.. hehe)

    I have a route!

    http://www.motowhere.com/maps/route/...Ragland-Leyton

I just forgot how to embed the bastard Enjoy..

It takes into account parts from the last 3 rides I had enjoyed. It is kinda a short ride but contains a good level of twistys, Mostly predictables.

We done Glen massy last Sunday it think.

Weather for this Sunday is not favourable.
