Shit did it come back down or was that for 91? Went into town yesterday mourning and it was $2.10 for premium (less the day before I thought). Went back in the arvo and it was $2.17-2.19 F'en wankers.

I reckon they put something in the fuel too cause I decided to do a random drive with the family to the wind turbines and the car is now making a VERY expensive sounding noise!

    It's a bloody conspiracy.

Me and the old man would have come (we both wanted too) but since I see it's on the Sunday I don't think it'll be very cool organizing a surprise b'day for Mum and then not turning up. Although since it's a surprise she want know if we're meant to be there

HAVE I GOT A DEAL FOR YOU!!!!

Direct swap, my Hyo for your 675, that baby gets 25+ ks per litre, and still over 20 when I take it to the track. Think of all the money you could save by swapping!!!

    Whaddayasaytodat?

I want to say I'm coming this Sunday, but knowing me I'll not show up. Haven't ridden with you chaps in AGES though, naughty me. I'll try and remedy that

That's sounds like an AWESOME deal, although I've already had a Hyobag and the scary thing is the 675 doesn't use that much more gas. The old mans Suzuki 650 uses more. Besides not a fan of the naked Hyo's. We may have had a deal otherwise

Pretty sure its the only one around in that colour
Now that's a sexy bike!! The wife is making me sell it

About bloody time they brought more in. I got heaps of people asking when they were bringing them in. It seemed stupid that Triumph NZ was only gonna have 2 colours in stock and the third a "special order only".

    Amen.

    :Rant Begins:

Turns out the expensive sound was very much that...same situation as Mike...new engine (well 2nd hand)! At 180,000 the bearing goes pop...I'm not that impressed considering it's been serviced religiously with decent oil (Castrol Edge) and not driven like a horny school boy.

I might see what Subaru NZ thinks about it. Yes it's mechanical, yes it wears but kinda puts a damper on the the "look after it and she'll look after you" theory.

    :Rant Ends:

That sucks dude, i would have thought it was common knowledge and that mechanics would look for this in servicing?

Big end bearing? They'll probably tell you it's from over-revving or poor quality petrol leading to detonation. 180,000 is getting up there - once I hit 200k I had a lot of stuff to replace along with the cam belt like water pump and brake master cylinder and other stuff that was basically worn out

Yeah Wingers or the Subby dealer in Tauranga. Winger this time though. The guys said that apparently when these bearings start going they go bloody quick, hence why they told Brooke not to drive it back home.

By the sounds of it, it's an integral part that is built very much to either a price or to a size.

The kick in the teeth is that we've been looking to trade it in for a ute for the last 6 months...no utes we like have popped up though. Bugger.

    Oh well. Such is life.

Thats the bugger. Yeah the guy from Winger said it was a little unusual for a non-turbo to not last long. Like they said, it's better to drop in a low-mileage 2nd hand engine since the k's are getting up there and you'd need to replace a lot of that stuff anyway.

I only bounced it off the limiter when going around the race track It certainly didn't get over-revved. Petrol? Maybe. Seems like it could be one of those things.
