Yeah a good ride, not to long and very warm. Thanks to all who turned up, I think we had almost 1/2 the bikes attending and all for a good cause. Sorry Arthur dont think your number was drawn but Milan won 2 raffles and Trina 1 (what do I do with a bottle of Captain Morgans). Pity all the classic car club was tied up at a meeting in Cambridge, they were quite interesting last year.

Weather looks crap for weekend coming up and I will be tied up at work so if any are brave enough to ride Sunday put something in the Calendar and see who can make it??

Hope you have your bike sorted Bigal - pretty hot weather to come this summer I think and you may not get to many pushers in future!!

Yer all good Murray, pulled starter switch apart and all fine, traced problem to connector under seat which had a dry connection I believe as solenoid was just clicking, crc'd connection and hasn't missed a beat yet. Btw was real easy to push start.

Good ride with some nice twisters, Millan set a good pace.

    Cheers.

    Pics

A couple of the pics I took of the run.

    Agreed the road was awesome.

I was amazed seeing the Spyder zip past me and how easily it seemed to negotiate the bends.

The Spyder has the two wheels at the front? Trying to remember. I followed a Gold wing Trike on one of our runs and could see the forces coming onto the front forks under braking, especially approaching downhill corners. I think the two wheels at the front would hold up better under braking.

I'm still keen to look at a sidecar unit for my bike. There is a chap at Katikati that deals with them. Will go and have a chat. Does anyone know of who else deals with sidecars?

YUP a mate went up to Auckers to test ride one when they first came into the country, ... he went up mainly out of curiosity and commented before he went that they wouldn't be a good machine but came home a convert... he was raving about the comfort and handling.

(I think they would make a cool racing class) cant be any worse than racing rideon lawnmowers can it LMAO

He was going to go back and buy one but died before he got to do it

Tomorrow (weds), I'm off to Tga to pick up a Contours video camera for the bike, then up to look at sidecar units at Katikati. Depending on weather etc, I'll prob swing past Whangamata, back over the Kopu hill. May even carry on and do the C loop.

Anyone wants to meet up txt me on 027 6923454. Wont be racing. Pie and a coke somewhere for lunch.
