I hope you didn't park where all the Sunday Harley riders park, on the Rewi st footpath?

Maybe the Waitomo-Marokopa- Awaikino circuit or maybe the lost highway route.

Thanks for the heads up AWA, lucky I just saw this.

I would have been really frustrated if I went to Kawhia on 6th.

May go further south and do that later, in the planning stage but got a few parties to attend as well.

Today's ride...Side roads to Otorohanga, thence SH3 and SH4 to Taumarunui and return. Map from Motowhere doesn't seem to work any more...

Just fancied riding the section of SH4 between the junction with SH3 and Taumarunui. Was tempted to come back via the west side of Lake Taupo but wasn't sure that the bones would stand up to that. As it turned out, it would have been no problem. Still, this way I got to ride the chosen section of highway twice. Better coming back too; seemed easier travelling north than south.

Taumarunui is not on the map yet. Would have been a great ride.

It was. Apart from trucks with trailers. But 4 was way better than 3.

No matter how fast I went today, I was still sweltering...

I have really enjoyed the riding this summer. Now, I wonder how I can pay off the $400 dollar fuel card bill...

I went into Hamilton this morning to kick a few tyres. The open face helmet is far cooler to ride in. Still cooked tho' while stopped at lights roadworks etc.

The weather forecast was for heavy rain and thunderstorms, so I was fairly safe. 6:30pm and it still hasn't rained here yet.

I use the olde fashioned method of weather forecasting, looke oute windowe. Then I pack a rain coat.

It has rained up here quite a bit, this arvo.
Yesterday the road was melting everywhere - glad I didn't have to go for a ride.
