    bike/gear needed for track days

For anyone thinking of venturing onto the track for a track day>heres a few ideas of suggested stuff you should do before going on the track.
Your gear. --You NEED -a helmet that fits propperly, leather gloves with no holes in em, Boots that cover well over the ankle bone,2 piece cudura -thats the padded nylon stuff i think. or leather jacket and pants.
I strongly suggest -bike boots,2 piece zip together leathers or one piece leathers. A BACK PROTECTOR.
bIKE WISE (for road bikes) - minimum requirement is it MUST be able to pass a WOF when brought to the track. Please if in doubt ask a senoior KBer to check it over for you . ALSO -NO leaking liquids will be accepted.- OIL or glycol on the track aint fun for other riders.
chains about to fall off the sprockets -WILL fall off the sprockets on a track day.
Id suggest if you are trailering the bike to do the following.
remove indicators and mirrors. put duct tape on headlight.remove pack racks completely. if main stand affects ground clearance cornering remove it.
I'd duct tape my speedo as well but thats optional
Im sure theres other stuff too that other KB'ers can come up with
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

Lights so that when u crash it doesnt leave crap all over the track. Speedo so you dont keep looking at it when you should be focusing on the next corner.

Well team, It's not looking good for me to get out on the track at Taupo.
So,, I have some gear that someone can use if they need it.
    1 piece leathers with full armour. fits me - 5'9' - 80kgs
    Back protector
    Race boots fits size 8/9

I am hopeing to be there on the day, (may do flag waving or something), so could bring the stuff up. But if that doesn't work out, I'm happy to freight my gear to people, as long as someone I know on the site can vouch that the person will get them back to me! Don't want my stuff "Walking"!

Let me know if it's of help to anyone.
    Racey.
