That sounds better. I hate texted too but never sure what else to say. Will use 'sent a text' also

I call myself Big Dave. People call me Big Dave - amongst other things. I haven't got enough media profile to refer to myself in the third person in quotes yet. Unless it's a PT. BD says so.

Words like Gargre are often a typo and then become common use.

Its a word that is with us and possibly should be added to the dictionary.

There are hundreds of made up words used everyday...just take a look at KB logins?
We converse with each other and refer to each other by our login names at times, even face to face...'Maha this is Stify'' ''Stirts meet MSTRS'' etc.
I get called Maha (not a real word) even when standing a few feet away from someone. In fact, Myself and Mom get called The Mahas (once again, not a real word)

    I come up with a word a while ago....Maungatawopwop.
Now this word describes a place that one intends on going to but doesn't really know where it is.

There must be other made up words out there, but they have to have a meaning.
Someone on KB lives at "Ekatawopwop", now that's a place that no one knows where it's at and they usually dont want to go there either!

Funnily enough I have a soft spot for Ekatawopwop. (Ekatahuna)

My favourite neologism of recent times is:

SLOPS - Severe Loss Of Perspective Syndrome

Overdone panic characterising particularly western democracies and the media therein, when confronted by "major" events such as Y2K, Bird/Swine Flu, SARS, Globule Warming etc etc

Ah yes, the Big Kiwi standing proud there.

As a kid, I remember watching that same Kiwi being hoisted onto the top of the then P.D.C (Palmerstons Dirty Corner) Building in Palmmy Norf.

    Texted is the wrong terminology.

The word is singular, as in text.. or "I text him the message" not Texted him the message.

It like saying there a lots of sheeps instead of lots of sheep.
