Yep, Just kill him. Do it quietly, No fanfare, Just pull that prison van up on the side of the road, Find a good strong tree, and hang him until he is dead.

I wonder what the cost of his actions in monetary terms is currently at? Money that would have been far better spent on a worthwhile cause.

What an absolute waste of oxygen on that prick.

I may have mis-heard the news but aren't they trying to argue that he's not guilty by reason of intoxication on P. Unless the drugs (and alcohol?) were forced down his neck against his will then this is no excuse. Who invented this loophole? Burn them aswell

By that reasoning anyone who has been convicted of drink driving isnt guilty either

Maybe they mean not guilty of murder, but guilty of the lesser crime of manslaughter. Either way - burn them

How about we just wait and see what the reasons for a retrial are?

If I recall correctly, intoxication is a mitigation factor, not an excuse. Its been a looooooong time since I did LAWS204 Criminal Law though.

I am also interested in the question of why the convictions were overturned in the first place, and the reasons for suppression. I see they've also just discharged the jury. Fascinating.

Also, aren't most lawyers shit on TV? Like, dude, get some media training if you are going to be on the telly, at least give us some entertainment FFS.

I am totally with you people who want to put two 9mm rounds in Mr Dick-sons temple though.

NOPE!!! the guys guilty, why else would he have been trying to prove insanity instead of just saying it wasn't me? No matter the reason, there is no excuse for spending thousands on this retrial.....although if i'm honest I do want to know why our dollars are being spent on a re-trial- perhaps adding more murder charges?ohhh wait no they'll shorten his sentence...maybe 2 years on good behaviour.

It's a waste of time and money - his counsel aren't disputing he did it so either:

    a) He's a murdering bastard and we lock him up and throw away the key, or

    b) He's an unhinged violent nutcase and we lock him up and throw away the key...
