Dont get me started on the lack of professionalism showed by at least 2 of these gentlemen at the AGM,
REMINISCENT OF THROWING ONES TOYS OUT OF THE COT METHINKS
the point is the sport has to move on ,all the experience in the world doesnt help when the people with it refuse to listen to their customer base,
things have not been right for some time and the actions of these few show how entrenched the purple circle thought they were.
Wake up and smell the roses people,
what motorcycling gains with there departure will more than make up for the temporary loss of these people
if they genuinely had the best interests of the sport at heart they would be staying to assist with their expertise, instead they are obviously hoping the new board wont cope.
However people you are dreaming, the board will not only cope just fine , i feel we are in for a revitalised MNZ and one where there is a more open and transparent method of operation

Mmmm not sure if "Throwing ones toys out of the Cot" is the correct turn of phrase here (c*th), I suspect it is a number of relatively sane clear minded people making a choice as to how they use the hours in the day and what they are prepared to expose themselves too.
So moving forward. if all the above is true we can expect to see a clear and distinct plan in the very near future for the new "revitalised MNZ" obviously communicated regularily by the more "open and transparent method of operation"
Perhaps some of the first things addressed should be the fact that a large precentage of the MNZ Road Race competitiors (ie North Island based) now have no direct and equitable representation on the board of governence. This of course can be addressed by SGM at great expense or by leaving the position vacant.
Next cab of the rank could be a rethink of the current voting system which by the stunning response of members is apathetic at best.
Looking forward to seeing "The Plan" and the board ... while coping fine, execute it.

The MNZ is probably one of the worst designed websites with the most confusing user interface I've ever seen. Try finding road racing events over the following calendar year on it.
It costs both MNZ and the voter unnecessary time and money. Many members didn't get the letter.

Sane probably there is a very loose definition of insanity in this country but to me more like the gravy train has come to an abrupt holt , amazing that you werent so prominent on this site till post election,
in speaking to some of new board members they have been made aware of more problem areas than even they were aware of, so the poisoned chalice is exactly whats been inherited.
One thing we can all rely on , the new board is focused on finding out what has gone on and fixing it.
to save a crop you have to get rid of rotton fruit and severe pruning may well go on
I would suggest that a few are praying fervently right now but bjt wont be one of them
He and the board will be to busy fixing the monumental cock ups , and making the sport more acessible and open to everyone but perhaps the person who posted the original quote is to busy trying to light a fire storm to notice

To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
Throwing ones toys out of the cot or whatever you may call it.This is not the first time Trevor Heaphy has pulled this stunt at an AGM.Theres no doubting these people have done some excellent work within MNZ,But if they can throw the towel in that quickly when things dont go their way then maybe its time they moved on anyway.I have a HUGE amount of respect and admiration for the work Mo and Sandra Perry have done for the sport and have NO doubt in my mind MNZ/ACU would have fallen over many moons ago without them.I fully understand Mo would resign if Sandra was voted out and I wish them all the best in their new life without the trials and tribulations of MNZ.THANK YOU Mo and Sandra
So trevor Heaphy and Warren New both Quit
Shit hot I say
