6R is easy if you can obviously control a bike and indicate correctly, understand give way rules at uncontrolled intersections, etc. They all have one little thing in the ride to check you remember the road code.

    No worries

All I can say is that it is dead easy. Don't ride too slowly, don't exceed the speed limit, position your bike correctly in your lane and indicated correctly. You will not have any trouble at all. When it's all over have an L plate burning ceremony.

Lower Hutt AA is a good place to do it. A nice area to ride in and they use headpieces to communicate with you.
    Ride fast or be last.

Don't tell the instructor he is wrong, just admit fault and say sorry.

Just ride normally and make it look like you know what you are doing. Dont break any rules and dont ride really cautiously. it's piss easy. Enjoy it, you will always remember this.

"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"

Just relax and enjoy the ride.

I rode normally, by which I mean middle-to-right-ish. Didn't get any comments on that but I know some people have been told otherwise. If you're particularly worried about it, ask first. "I know there are different interpretations of the road code regarding bike position... do you expect me to ride primarily to the left, or in the right wheel track?"

No, don't ride to the left of your lane. Ride in the middle of your lane or, if following a car, in the right hand wheel track like you normally would if you are riding around on your own.
Move your head around alot. Check your blind spots when merging or changing direction. At interesections check and double check before moving off. Make sure he can see you moving your head around and looking in your mirrors. Make sure you have both feet on the ground when the bike is stationary at stop signs.
Oh ! and before I forget..... practice your U-turns ! they will ask you to do one....or two.

I just passed mine on Monday. Just ride normally in a sensible manner. Make sure you do a HEAD CHECK when pulling out into traffic. Ask the tester if he/she expects you to ride at 100kph or 70kph in the high speed zones. Try and get a tester that rides bikes themselves, I did and he was great.

Ride like you normally do only a little slower - don't speed, look around a lot and don't forget to fit your "L" plate!! - used mine today for the first time, and passed my "R" gave my "L" to the tester and she thanked me as they have others turn up without their plates!

    good luck
