My angst comes not from them being too far left for me to split. It's when they see me coming and intentionally move to close the space to split.

It actually annoys me more than when they change lanes last minute right in front of you because they didnt look. I expect this, i know it could happen anytime, they can't see me or they plain didn't look.
But this new lot that shut down the split. They've looked, awesome! they've seen me , even better. Then they move to purposely shut down the split. That's just a cock move

Just the reality of traveling on a vehicle that has the potential to move through spaces/gaps that others can't.

While I agree with your final sentiment, what's most important is that you've seen their reaction and then can react accordingly i.e. in most instances you're not going to complete the split. Annoying yes; are they being a cock? very likely; is it worth getting sand in your vijayjay over? I speak from literal experience, NO. Take it as one of life's many little trade offs, that for every time you are denied the chance, you get other where you can split.

I have obviously been pissing someone off every morning while they sit in their tin top.

How they knew I had a rash though I have no idea.

Send a short reply to the fuzz:

    Dear coppers:
    Haters gonna hate.

    Yours Sincerely

That should sort the matter! You're welcome.

Is riding a motorbike on green cycling lane legal? (when traffic is stationary or moving at less than 30 km/h)

    I doubt it.

    But it never stops me.

And a cop can pretend to write you a ticket for unauthorized use of a special vehicle lane.

A word of warning when splitting on non motorway roads , go slow . 2 of the Circustreads diaspora had similar crashes recently , both failed to see the right turning car while going between traffic . 1 needs a new headlight and nosecone , the other needs new forks and his wists and gonads to heal .

Well said. I travel home via Dominion Rd regularly and that bus lane can be deadly if not treated with the utmost respect. I often have cars turning right across my path. I have to say though, most of them are well aware of the bus lane and the possibility of it being occupied.

There's one biker who I've seen using the painted median instead of the bus lane. He might have turned right - eventually...

One reason I'd ban tinted windows on vehicles - you can't see through them: car drivers, especially, can't see through the vehicles to see if there might be a cyclist or biker in the bus lane.

I'll sometimes do that if there is no bus lane and the traffic is stationary. BUT (and it's a big one) you've got to be suport aware of what the traffic is doing. I learnt this the hard way a few decades ago on Mt. Eden Rd. Car turned right just as I was coming past. I just managed to stay upright as I scraped my muffler along their bumper (had to lift my foot out of the way).

Indeed. Never assume they've seen you. I mostly end up letting them through, especially the ones that have seen me and stopped - good to reward that.
