The herald has th same ownership has ZB and Mike Hoskins Show
it's also traditionally a conservative center-right publication.
They also have a history of sacking staff who criticize National.
They also vocally protested and opposed the law about declaring political donations.Dita de Boni was a columnist for the newspaper, writing her first columns for the NZ Herald in 1995. From 2012 - 2015 she wrote a business and politics column until – after a series of articles increasingly critical of the Key government – the Herald discontinued her column for financial reasons.
if you drill into the ownership of the NZME far enough you come up with Rupert Murdoch.Third party campaigns
The Act made it illegal for anyone to spend more than NZ$12,000 criticizing or supporting a political party or taking a position on any political matter, or more than NZ$1,000 criticising or supporting an individual member of parliament, without first registering with a state agency, the Electoral Commission.[
The Bill as introduced required that unregistered third parties file statutory declarations before publishing election advertisements.
The Bill originally limited the spending of registered third parties on political advertising to $60,000, but this was later increased to $120,000 by the Select Committee.
The regulation of third parties also extends to their finances. The Act requires that third parties disclose all donations they receive over $5000. Anonymous donations that third parties receive over this level must be given to the State

Govt gives you nothing because it creates nothing - Javier Milei
The Internet was perceived as potentially being a huge gift to mankind. Instead it's a huge mine of misinformation and the algorithms used by Facebook, YouTube, and all, grab people who should know better and drag them down a rabbit hole.
I've only come across a couple of anti vaxxers but suspect I know a third, none are really in a position to follow through on that point of view without endangering others.

Agree 100% and it’s across both sides, but the access to education across many areas previously unattainable or affordable far outweighs the minority that fetter away their lives cut n pasting propoganda across message boards.
I fact the Elite are very threatened about the free access to technology and ideas and that’s very why the internet will soon be replaced with an app centric affair much like home screen on smart tv limiting communication channels.
Humanity is on the cusp of open source technology and learning that threatens the current status quo where it’s quiye controlled about which people and countries will succeed in life.
For example just imagine if a university student North Korea loyal to their regime suddenly was the one to discover the perfect electric car battery etc. the sudden tectonic shift in industrial and economic power would break the current structure.

Nah. That's obvious. Same with school staff.
Nurses and doctors are, it seems, as prone to misinformation rabbit holes as anybody else. The woman on YouTube that started the "magnetic vaccine" bullshit was a doctor. A DO though, not an MD, which means she would not be a doctor in this country. Maybe we got something right?
The daft bitch who tried to back her up was a nurse, her demonstration just indicated that she needed a shower.
These idiots are blissfully unaware that most stainless steel and all shit metal is not magnetic. Ah well...

Everybody used to have to have a vaccination certificate detailing the vaccinations required to travel to their particular destination. No certificate, no travel. Where was your bodily autonomy then? The vaccinations worked though, most of the diseases are no longer a problem.
Kids have to have had vaccinations to attend school. Your pet can be required to be vaccinated to stay at a cattery or a boarding kennel.
Suddenly people are coming out of the woodwork waffing about trackers, magnetism - and boldily autonomy.
The weirdest objectors are the ones serving in the US military. They've had bloody near every vaccination known to man now suddenly they have a problem. Anybody quitting a job over this is only fooling themselves. Quite possibly all employers will want staff to be vaccinated soon.
In this country the unvaccinated will shortly be unable to go anywhere much: no pubs, no cafes, no restaurants, no sports events, no live music. They will be bored into submission.

I had exactly this conversation with a hesitant / anti vax friend recently. They are very well traveled and consequently have been jabbed senseless at their own cost.
But no, the covid jab is different. I complimented them on their lettuce patch to move the conversation into normal territory.
Manopausal.
Do you know what is experimental? The effects of covid on humans. We don't know the long term effects. But we are starting to get a glimpse.
Hopefully cunts like those questioning the approach and encouraging others to be hesitant can fuking feel the worst of these effects whilst denied hospital attention.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Funny, I've traveled to quite a few places - never once have I had to prove my vaccination status at any country, only had to waive my Passport.
If I was stopped at the border and asked for my Medical records, I'd probably tell them to piss off.
No, that's an outright lie.
Privately run Daycares can refuse enrollment based on Vaccination status, but there is no legal requirement in NZ to be vaccinated to attend School. There is one caveat, that in the event of an Outbreak - unvaccinated students can be forces to stay home, but that is not the same.
Yes, because it's a privately run enterprise, just like a Daycare.
It's very simple:
I've long been an advocate of Vaccinations, you will remember the discussions I had with Katman on this topic, at length.
To add further clarity to this, I've got 50% of my covid Vaccination. My reasons for doing so are two-fold - firstly, I've never had a negative reaction to any vaccine (so it's a very low-risk event for me) and secondly, as I'm on the portlier side, I'm in a higher risk.
However, despite all that - I still hold that the Individual is sovereign - and even with the Measles Vaccine (where we have pretty conclusive evidence that with 90+% vaccination rates, no dead children and when those rates fall, we get fatalities), I cannot cross the line of allowing the Government to compel anyone to have a medical procedure done against their will.
That is a line that I will not cross.
And you are okay with this?
What if we did the same about, oh, I dunno - one's personal religion, you'd also be okay with that? No? Then what is the difference?
