What kind of system would prevent this from happening? The only system I can think of is one that does not allow morons to breed and produce more of them. If it was money they cared about they would rob a bank or perhaps they are too stupid to realize that.

If all they were after was the money, then a system without money COULD prevent this sort of shit from happening. @robbing a bank... coz that's much easier. I ran bars & night clubs around NZ for 14yrs...and I had to walk away due to the "youth" and there attitudes (spat at, screamed at, swung at...you name it!)...I had to leave after I nearly crippled a kid for punching a pregnant lady in the guts!, then he spat in my face for removing him.

Then take away School certificate, University Entrance exams and replace them with internal assessments by those same salary earners ( hello, seeing a pattern yet)
Then tell teachers that corporal punishment is a big no no cause it scars the kids.
Oh, don't forget about telling parents that they can't discipline their own children.

Whilst most of that may well be true, most who can't read, write etc... don't necessarily resort to crime, neither do they necessarily to come from a household of criminals. Criminals and crime is situational. If they have what they need, they won't commit crime. (you need money to have what you want)... and in this case if these kids had had 400 bucks, they wouldn't have fucked this guy over.

As for education etc... tis what happens when there isn't enough money available to give a quality education. Back in the day education was free from birth to work. Not so any more. Does that have anything to do with it? (lack of money destroying the education system?).

Once upon a time those on a low salary could afford a relatively decent lifestyle whilst leaving 1 full time parent at home or at least be available to "watch over" the kids. (a low salary buys fuck all these days).

Telling kids what they can and can't do will inevitably have them finding out if they are within their rights to tell the tellee to go and fuck themselves. Asking them can have better results. (respect is a 2 way street, too many adults forget that).

People believing that homo's, lesbo's, those of a different colour of skin, those who are younger, those who are older, those who are cleaners, those who are doctors, those who are bankers, those who are single parents... essentially those who can be shoehorned into some convenient little box, all to devalue the effort that these people are worth in the eyes of the general public.
