I turned down one for $1700 about 99 that I should have bought . I am of course over that on my Stinger, but at least I am happy with what went into the engine.

Mine will have a couple of tweaks that an Anorack would notice, like size wider rims, but I'm building it for me not for an investment. Doesn't need much.

But the dirtbike needs more maintenance. . . As does the ensuite.

Having no exhaust wrap is an extra plus. A $120 cafe seat from Vikings in Hamilton, lower handle bars and a couple of side covers made out of icecream containers with the generous application of flat black paint would tidy the 250 up quite nicely.

For $400 maybe, but shit, I'll slap this tank on, oh there's a gap, um, this'll do. Paint the chrome pipes to cover the rust, hey they look great. For 10km.

Water induction. Of course if not needed a few icecream container lids silconed together would make a nice guard. With a generoius coating of the cheapest flat black you can buy. Last I looked SuperCheap had 250ml cans at $5 a pop. It has "Not for Automative use." on the can but just ignore that. Worked great on the CB550.

At least double that as it's got rego and wof. And obviously runs better than a certain ST2.

Were the 250 GSX as affected as the 400?

Was my first legal bike, after an XR250 that had sod all road amenities or muffling, then the RD350 with the obligatory 250 stickers. Figured I best sit my full. Seller told me it had a warrant. It didn't and I didn't check until after the licence guy couldn't find it but thankfully gave up looking.

Was good to learn to ride rather than hang on which was the previous strategy. Horrible little fucking thing though. Later rode girls I was teaching CD250 and VTR Sparda. Actually enjoyable run abouts I'd wished existed back then

Replace handle bars/mirrors and shitty 4into1 exhaust. pod filters. alloy rims and you instantly have a Cafe Racer. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...01949d491e-001 Obviously trying to recoup the rebuild costs.

    Wouldn't mind pinching the wheels..........

You want WHAT!!!!!https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...f0658b2f3d-003 Those CB650 crash bars are a pain in the arse when gear changing. Speaking from experiance.

Still it's nice to see another good one still road worthy.

Those clubman bars look repulsive on that esp as std pegs. Why would you?

Erm, I put some on my GSX250. Made the horribly flighty front end much better. Guess it looked a bit dumb.

"Originally bought it to turn into a cafe racer but realised how good condition it was in I couldn’t bear to mutilate a piece of history"
    Thank heavens for that.

I'd say its value is getting closer these days depending upon closer inspection. Seems a lot.
