    Very cool.
That looks like really BIG country. Just going to "the other side of the valley" must take some planning...
High miles, engine knock, rusty chrome, worn pegs...
    Brakes as new

    One other thing worth mentioning.......

While the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 is nothing flash, I can't think of any other road bike that would have coped with the punishment we dished out to them.

A lot of the time the road was little more than a goat track, but apart from the odd muffler rattling off and a couple of dented rims, all the bikes made it through to the end of the trip remarkably unscathed.

The ones through Iran are well worth watch, truly wonderful people under a not so great government regime.

Love it. Was interested to see where the Enfield she bought in India couldn't be registered in Holland as it was not Euro 4 compliant. The dealer offered to take her bike 'as is' with all her kit on it to use as a display (they let her keep the GPS) , and gave her a new 'naked 'Himalaya model in exchange.

She's currently planning to ride Patagonia to Alaska.

    Recommended watch.

    Meanwhile back to Katman...

There was one Himalaya in the group of bikes. I had a ride of it one day and wasn't that impressed by it.

I was quite happy to get back on the Bullet.

I'm looking forward to seeing one of the Interceptors up close though.

Yes, its a real shame for everyone because we all miss out because a few stirrers here seem to get
their jollies from a bitch fight.Glad to see Katman has been the better person and ignored it, but can
understand why we have seen just pictures without a storyline.

A lot of reports of the frames breaking on them so maybe not that suitable

Not recalling anything that could be described as a bitch fight I re-read the thread. Didn't see anything like that this time either. Saw great pics receiving compliments. There's enough crap on KB without people imagining it.

Who did you go with? I did a similar trip about five years ago on an Enfield and absolutely loved it. Went with the same crowd through Bhutan last year which wasn't as visually spectacular but was one of, if not the, best trips I've done on or off a motorbike.
