Spent the mid day out on the kayak with my visiting brother in law yesterday. Fuckin beautiful day. Wind blowing us along the coast and then dropping when we needed to paddle back up for another slide. Lots of half eaten soft baits, grrrrr before the brother in law bagged an 11lb yellowtail kingfish. Good incentive to get out more often Great day.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Went into town this morning to go on a guided tour of the Pop-up Globe Theatre. Took the bus and as we get on at the first in-bound stop of the inner zone the buses are always quite full. This morning it was a fully seated load so we had to stand. Not for long... before the bus had moved off from the stop two tertiary students stood up and offered us their seats - not that standing is a problem.

There are young ones in this country who are a credit to their parents and their upbringing...

that is fucken awesome, most of the younguns i see round these days are so engrossed in their phones that they would not have even noticed.

incidentally some cities in the states are now making it illegal to walk around whilst looking at your phone, seems people are walking in to things and gettin injured because they are distracted, Go Figure

free food. Got given a rabbit - actually it was bigger than our cat, so a hare.. Cat not happy to be sized up for meal potential. First time cooking it.

Basically cooked it like lamb shanks. Tasty enough. plus a bit of DIY butchery.

Free quinces, equals quince paste. Bit time consuming but easy to make and so tasty.

If I didnt exercise I would be such a fat little man.

Not all the lemmings live in the States. There was a guy in New Plymouth killed by a train he didn't hear coming 'cause of his earphones.
    He won't do that again.

My MIL used to pick up fresh non-flat ones from side of the road for dinner.

Bit of garlic, some thyme and Bob's yer uncle: Sunday roast.

    Wasn't bad.
