I've always compared these to (say) a commando - looks like they are a bit cheaper LOL

Yeah, Commando/Combat prices have been growing for the last five or more years. Lovely bikes but not priced well enough to chuck one in the corner of the garage for the odd Sunday ride.

I've been looking for a sensibly priced Brit tourer for five years and the Norton is the obvious choice but they are going for big money for average bikes.

The Laverda would be quicker in a straight line I reckon. Probably happier in the corners as well.

Dunno about that. A good Commando can lift its skirts and hustle....

Put a new TT100 on the Commando, got a WOF and did 120mile trip around the Warkworth/Helensville area on Sunday.
I did some adjustments on the Lansdowne compression and rebound settings and ride is great.
Bloke at the cafe had a very very nice Kawasaki 750.

It's very cool. I'd leave it looking rough.

The 'want factor' on that scooter is very high. I feel I have seen less rusty ones for similar money over the past few years.

Yes, its very alluring in its faded glory. You would need a Trekka to go with it to complete the Made in NZ set.
    You know you want it....
