    Some close up pics...

Apparently the rear seat fits where the black cowl is.

    The exhaust endcap:

    The lovely headlights:

    The tail piece:

I've not seen one like this before:

The dash is very much like the RSVR:

    MCN accuracy?

Is MCN the mag frequently slagged off hereabout for works of fiction ?

The article in the original post says, "Aprilia have revealed that the new RSV4 weighs in at 190kg fully fueled, which incidentally is 9kg less than a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade weighs with an empty tank."

The CBR1000RR spec says, "199kg Includes all standard equipment, required fluids and a full tank of fuel - ready to ride."

So if that much is bollocks, and it definitely appears to be, how much of the other detail is the work of an over active imagination?

I'm not saying it's not a nice bike. In fact I'll add it to my list of "Lotto bikes" just in case...

Here's a vid of Max Biaggi testing-courtesy MCNEWS

The RSV4 rear end tail-piece is almost non-existent!

Sounds great. So does the new R1 in the attached clip.

    Enjoy...I did.

they ain't exactly far apart on the RSV tail either...

IMHO it's a big step backwards in the looks department weawy warver ugwy in comparison to the last 10 years of stunning looking bikes... There's no way in hell i'm gettin one of these... 1. I can't afford it... 2. It's going to spend its first year or 2 imploding or exploding and shorting out when it rains... 3. i'd kill myself quite easily on that... 4. I don't get to the track often enough... 5. Aprilia's reputation for parts distribution to this part of the globe isn't exactly good... and I think i'll stop there...
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

how very true... very true, if they could get rotax reliability with that power she's gonna outsell the Duc, which I think looks worse than the RSV4... and has been blowing up and imploding... be interested to see/hear the thing in real life, pics seldom do bikes justice these days (although the 1098 was still pretty fugly in real life)...

    You doing Manfeild this weekend?
