Part of the appeal of common interest social groups is the sharing of information, help and advice which typically revolves around the group's common interests. Some (like Dodgyiti) have more bike modding experience than others and are therefore able (but not obliged) to provide more assistance to the groups members wanting advice on modding their bikes. As the group’s members get to know each other better, the types of assistance starts to expand to include matters that relate to areas outside of the usual common interest. These areas can be in all forms, including occupational experience, hobbies, leisure activities, obsessionsetc This thread can be used by members who wish to offer the benefit of any experience, skill sets or knowledge that they care to share with other members of the group. . Anyone wishing to advise the group of such offer can do so by reply in this thread. If general comments and inquiries are done by pm rather than posting to this thread, the thread will be less cluttered and easier to reference. Thanks .
Good idea mate. FWIW I am a sparkie, working as a control system engineer and studing energry management part time. Not much use I know.
I would like to offer the benefit of my experience to any members of this group that may like a bit of free advice (worth every cent you pay) My areas of expertise on offer, are in a field that is of concern to many NZ home owners... Building Code compliance, Project management and Leaky homes. Most people have little understanding of the pit falls of home ownership as relates to The Building act, The WHRS Acts and the legal precedents pertaining to Leaky homes. Nor do they understand just how extensive the problem is. Pretty much any house built between 1995 and 2005 is within the category of ‘very likely to fail’ while those built 15 years prior to and 5 years following that period are in the ‘likely to have significant problems’ category. If you have concerns in these areas or would just like to increase your awareness of these or similar issues, send me a pm and I will be happy to fill some gaps for you (though not the ones that are leaking)

Just got back into bikes after a long break and wonder why I took so long.
