"Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory"
Bwaaaahahahahaaa!!! (Maniacal laughter). (Seriously though, this makes me smile. If I haven't helped people with their riding, I've at least helped bring people together).
The main reason for staggering leaving times would be to help reduce confusion at the carpark. The fast guys can leave earlier. They know where they're going. They don't need anyone to hold their hand. I'd like to see them leave by 6.20. Straight away that leaves us with a more manageable group to organise. If you haven't left with the fast guys then you're cruising with the rest of us or buggering off. From there we'll ask if anyone wants some help with their riding and who'd like to offer that help. Even if it's just following that person then it's something. We need to go back to properly establishing a tail end charlie too.
This is important: If you want to hoon then go to Duvauchelles with the fast guys. If the fast guys intimidate you too much then don't come at all!! It's pretty simple.
I realise that shit happens but it's not only been the crashes that have made these rides less enjoyable of late. I want to go back to looking forward to my Wednesdays.
Too many chiefs and not enough indians.

this is true. Sometimes u think they have seen you and will pull to the side or stay constant with their speed after you catch up but you find that they suddenly think they can go fast down the straight as you try to pass. When you start to pull out often you think the pass will be safe only to find out too late they decide to be a hero and race instead of letting you go past.Yes it may have been stupid place to pass but shit happens people misjudge things sometimes and get caught out.
Without being there at the time it is a reasonable length straight so a pass could be easily achieved on that straight.
No harm letting someone who has caught you up go it saves stupid shite from happening.

I mean speeding tickets serve a purpose, sometimes more than others, but I think the good cops do out weighs the bad....just.
I'd be interested to have a cop along, there's a few questions I'd have for him/her.
and it'd be 1 wolf in a flock of 40 sheeple, we could out number him/her easy.
Get a fucking clue.
Anyone who has ridden with either Helen or Tim (the 2 riders he was trying to pass) for half a minute will tell you that there is no way in hell that either of them were trying to "be a hero."
You need to really consider how what you write can be interpreted, and how incredibly insulting and inappropriate it is to suggest that Helen or Tim caused that crash.
You weren't there, you didn't see the crash, you have no reason at all to make the above comments.
Have fun all of you on Wednesday night rides, Helen and I won't be along for a while.
Sorry to hear that, you guys know how to get in touch, I would hate to lose contact.
I will keep going for a while but I figure it will only take one more incident to stop me, my other half actually has been saying to me go, after this week she is seriously reconsidering that, shame really as I was looking forward to her getting her licence and coming along.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
