Taddy is either fucking fast or found a wicked short cut somewhere, he smoked everyone by an unbelievable amount. I can't wait for some video footage to come out of this event.

Stole this from the www.waitematamcc.co.nz
Initial Report based on a quick chat to Chris this morning. He came 3rd Overall in the mega hill - climb, and qualified 4th fastest on the Iron Road prologue that set the starting order for the Cross- Country. On the cross Country he came 8th after leading for the first 6 checks before getting severe arm pump and then dropping the bike and having to fix a broken clutch lever . Of the 500 qualifiers from the Iron Road prologue there were 21 finishers ! Rory Mead had a great ride to come in 6th ! Chris said that the race was 3 times harder than in 2008. Many riders suffered from extreme exhaustion and had to be taken out by hellicopter including multi world trials champion Dougie Lampkin, and last years 3rd placegetter Paul Bolton. The event was won for the 3rd year running by Taddy Blazuziak . No doubt Chris will have more stories to tell when he gets home later this week.

Chris will probably be frustrated but still a result to be very proud of under the circumstances. Rory should be well pleased. Good on both of them.

Well that puts a different perpective on it.
If you search through previous You tube files you will see that Taddy does one hell of a lot of riding/testing for KTM and racing on Erzberg. Its his home patch. Still a awesome rider anywhere tho.
Did he beat Rory/Chris by about an hour or more or am I reading the results wrong?

So who is going to go out and buy a Trials bike to improving their riding? Remember Taddy was as high as 6th or 7th in the World Trials only a couple of years back, so he's pretty handy on a bike, and Lampkin getting into these extreme events as well.
