View Full Version : Otago: Dunedin Mid Winter Party
xknuts
15th June 2009, 22:02
Just an idea, but hell, it's been 2 years since we had a mid winter party, & that was at Silverferns House. From memory it was a "Bring a Plate" style & BYO, which was very successful.
This would be a cage event (Bikes optional).
Can we put it together for SATURDAY 27TH JUNE?
Happy to have it at my place, Broad Bay, but if anyone puts up their hand for a city venue then that might be more popular.
Anyway my house offer is there if it generates interest?

Great idea Chris. My boys will be doing the school ball thing in Dunedin that night so I'm kids free for the weekend (hopefully not a premature grandparent as a result!!!)
The Princess and myself should be starters - wish I could show off some new wheels but it won't have arrived...................patience..........

Its on if ya want it on!
7.00 pm onwards.
PM me for Broad Bay address.
I suggest we each bring a plate, main course or dessert. Keep it simple.
There will be very little seated area as I only have seating for 4/5 persons in my small lounge. More room for dancing eh?

Brilliant and great to hear from you Mark - what the heck will you be riding the legs off then??? - just you leave those high country merino alone, theres a lot of lonely shepherds up there and they're very protective!!!:bash:
I'm heading away for a few days on the 5th July so I may well miss you unfortunately. The bike I am interested in won't be available for about 3 weeks yet so there won't be any baptisms of fire for it either - and I think I'm going to go with a white one rather than orange (don't have to change my jacket if I do that - white goes with anything and we do have to be colour co-ordinated don't we ......hahahaha)
I'll probably list the Tiger on Trademe for a couple of weeks and see if anything happens - so if anyone knows of anyone wanting a very well set up Tiger get them to give me a bell or keep looking on T'me.

So it's an R for Arse as Pual Henry would say and a good Southlander.
I hope now that you have been Converted to the other side that you realise it's a religion that you have signed up to and you will have to ride 100's of k's to meet with the faithfull to ride with them as you are now a member of the exculsive club Ready To Race,:woohoo:
The Orange Cloak of Honour will handed on to you shortly along with the accessory list of all the bling to protect your fine machine and make it look even faster
I've got some Orange stuff that might fit you but the boots you won't fill them:yes:
I used to ride one before it was taken over by: The Ultimate Adventure Religion. And anyone else's bike is not quite up there now. :gob:
Enjoy the Virgin for the first day and after that beat it like it owes you money.Cause it will be second hand by then :bash:
I've never had a new bike, so maybe you could talk us through this one Bruce
Had plenty of second hands but i'm a cheap bugger.
I Appreciate bikes that have been Depreciated.
I get the feeling there might be one coming up soon...........:scooter:

What - and get your shiny cruise dirty???? - you should see my road at the moment. The bloody bike got covered in shit just taking it home on the trailer!! - so I washed that off so it could start its life with me with some genuine riding dirt. That prob was me - was heading out to look over a development block in the hills sort of behind Outram. Involved a bit of forestry road (and lots of logging trucks) so the beast isn't quite as orange now :whocares::woohoo:
I did 3 mile hill there and back - bit wary going out because of the risk of grit but it didn't seem to be a problem on the way back:wari:
