But there are two os in loose.

If we're having a misspelling rant thread...

How come bikers who go to race meetings never read the signs?

It's Manfeild, not Manfield
It's Teretonga, not Terotonga

How come bikers who buy tyres never read the labels?

It's Metzeler, not Metzler
It's Michelin, not Mitchelin
It's Pirelli, not Pirreli

And at least some manufacturers like BMW and KTM had the aforethought to go for a TLA rather than a word that could be misspelled.

It's Aprilia, not Aprila or Aprillia

Oh for fuck's sake Hitcher, go to bed...

I think Miss Spelling would say she's not common.

(The rest of the world would say, "Thank goodness.")

Alpinestars is one word, not two.
Kiwi Biker is two words, not one.

I think we need to take a brake from this braking of confections, it's getting too be far to loose our handle on things, people are loosing the plot and losing "o" anywheres.

We alls should bee in our gargres, wasing our praked bikes and loosing no sleep over the whys and wherefours and what thous, as a whys man once saids to me ... "If you keep loosening up on the loosing of your loss, then you will be winning back all your bases"

So lets liver and forfeit so we can all just get on along!

Had to point out two errors to the Manawatu Standard yesterday, both by the same reporter. In a story last week she said a person was not "phased" by the situation - that should have been "fazed". Yesterday she reported that a judge told a guy that he needed to start "towing the line" - should be "toeing".

The chief reporter said they try and pick up errors and the subs should have picked those up even if the reporter didn't, but most subs are no longer retired journalists, they're 20 year-olds with no editing skills - and no spelling or grammatical skills either!

I also hate the fact people say they are trying to "loose" weight - god help us if all that weight actually does get loose!
