Ok I brought some carbs.

I thought they were VM29ss, now I am having my second thoughts as the bore apears to be larger than 29mm and the code on the side "27A10" not 27A01 that the manual says should be there.

Bore apears to be 34mm.

Any ideas? I have an idea but the more invesstigation I do the more I confused I get so thought I would open it up to the forum.

Used on the first of the GSXR750 is my understanding.

Yes I have seen that diagram, and I am not saying you are not wrong but I have issue with the text on the exploded view saying TM33, which I thought was a different carb to the VM29ss:confused:

Although it is possible they may share parts the TM carbs are a single carb and have an accelerator pump, used mostly on offroad bikes

I also thought the first of the GSXR750 had a CV type carb and the flat slide was on the 2nd or 3rd model that came out

Hmmm, just found a thread on one of the GSXR forum that talked about bore measurement being at the slide and 34mm at the outlet of the engine side being normal.

I dont know the more I read the more I over think thing and the more I confuse myself:laugh:

1985 through 1987 UK Models had the VM29ss

1986 US Model had the BST31SS & 1987 US Model had the BST34SS, which I believe are CV Carbs
